Ethanol is very lean product that has no lubricating properties at all and has a corrosive effect on metal surfaces and rubbers could dry out. Increasing the percentage ethanol in the fuel may have at the long term a negative effect on the sustainability of the components. Ethanol based fuels tend to age faster, than regular fuels, and loss of octane number. E10 Fuel has a hygroscopic effect and 1-3% negative effect on the fuel consumption compare with E5 fuel. Manual:
